Kirkby Cup in Kalgoorlie
Top 3 A Mods at Kalgoorlie International Speedway 30th November 2024
1st Place Matt Bosveld
• 2nd Place Brad Ludlow
• 3rd Place Brad Wright
Kirkby Cup on the 30th November 2024 was WA Pro Modifieds Debut. 13 Drivers made the trip to Kalgoorlie International Speedway for a great night of racing. Heat one of the A Mods saw Brad Ludlow claim the win while B Mod youngster Jack Wright won the first heat. Jack had some time out from the seat before racing in Kal ,so he proved himself he can still keep up the pace.
Heat 2 had Damien Birch hit the win. Birchy had also been out of the seat for a while so was also chuffed to get his first heat win in Kal. Brad Ludlow and Brad Wright placing 2 & 3rd also put on a good show for the crowd. B Mod Justin Wishart driving Dave Southwell's pro mod snagged first place followed by Graham Mitchell & Jack Wright. Both heats were close racing.
Half time had the crowd thick in the pits with all Pro Mod Drivers handing out and signing posters.
The feature race was a stop start with a few restarts with Damien Birch on Outside pole with Brad Ludlow inside pole. Birchy took the lead and lead the race for the first few laps then unfortunately had to go infield with a flat tyre. Ben Ludlow then took the lead for a few laps until Brad Ludlow managed to lead. it could have been anyone's win.... it was close. A few more drivers pulled infield with car issues. A few restarts later with only a few cars left on track Brad and Ben Ludlow were fighting for the win when Matt Bosveld came in hard a passed both Ludlows to claim his Victory. Rick Bell was awarded Top B Mod 1st Place followed 2nd place Brendan McKeagg and 3rd place Graham Mitchell.

TOP 3 A MOD WINNERS AT GERALDTON CITY SPEEDWAY NOVEMBER 16TH 2024
1ST Place Ben Ludlow • 2nd Place Brad Ludlow
• 3rd Place Matt Bosveld
The Pro Mod Masters was held a Geraldton City Speedway with 9 drivers nominated. Time trials were first up with Brad Ludlow running the quickest time of 16.954. Matt Bosveld managed to take the win for heat 1, followed by By Ben Ludlow winning heat 2 of the A mods. Putting on a great show in the heats proved to be an entertaining feature with Ben Ludlow leading the race from the start to the finish. Close racing by Ben Ludlow, Brad Ludlow ,Matt Bosveld and Brad Wright in his new Pro Mod recently shipped over from America. This was to be Ben's first feature win in his Pro Mod at Geraldton City Speedway.

The B Mods also put on a great show all night. Time trials winner was Graham Mitchell with a 18.447. Heat 1 winner was Craig Watkins followed closely by Graham Mitchell on a photo finish on the line. Heat 2 winner was Rick Bell, and was he happy to get the win for this one after leading heat 1 then went backwards with a spin out. The feature race winner was Jusin Wishart in the 32 car for the night of Dave Southwell. Rick Bell managed a 2nd place followed by Graham Mitchell for 3rd.

WA1 Brad Ludlow A mod winner.
WA Pro Modified run their State title over 3 rounds. The first round kicked off at Morawa speedway on April 13th 2024, with Brad Ludlow claiming 76 points and Rick Bell taking 55 points ,both winning the first round for the A and B mods.
The next round was held at Kellerberrin speedway on May 11th 2024 with Matt Bosveld and Craig Watkins taking the win for the A's & B's. Defending champion WA1 Brad Ludlow had a great race against Matt Bosveld, with Bozzy taking the win for the A mods. Brad & Bozzy now 1 point difference with Ludlow just making it to the top of the ladder. Brad Ludlow 146 pts & Matt Bosveld 145 pts. Craig Watkins and Rick Bell were also only 3 points difference with Rick Bell claiming the win for this round as Craig had some car issues. Rick Bell 106 pts - Craig Watkins 103 pts.
The 3rd and final round was held at Bunbury Speedway for the 3rd annual Winter Nationals. With low numbers of A mods the field of top contenders was between Brad Ludlow, Matt Bosveld & Ben Ludlow. Unfortunately Ben Ludlow had car issues early in the night ending with DNF. Again Ludlow and Bosveld were head to head for the feature with Defending champion WA1 Brad Ludlow claiming the win of the State Title back to back. The top 3 feature winners were 1st place Brad Ludlow , 2nd place Matt Bosveld and 3rd place B mod winner Rick Bell. The B mods also ran a good race showing good numbers on the day. Its also been great to see and welcome a few new drivers to the division. this season we have welcomed Jac Dolmans, Dave Southwell, Graham Mitchell and Rod Smith.
